Plenty of parking outside, the staff are courteous and really helpful and the bar is well stocked. The menu is brilliant, lots to choose from, Nepalese and traditional Indian restaurant food. Cant fault the place, great place to go for a curry.Claire2023-11-05Amazing Nepalese & Indian restaurant Wow this restaurant is first class the food was amazing and the service also. There's so much to choose from the menu to suit everyone's taste I love the decor very modern 👍. I'm ashamed to say it's my first time visiting and only live just up the road I'll certainly be going back very soon and hopefully you will be too.... you'll not be disappointed with this exceptional restaurant. Claire from Leybourne.Nicola F2023-10-21The food was lovely and the staff was Nothing to say, the food is great, and the staff was very helpful and the Gurkha beer bottles was goodJon D2023-10-13The best local restaurant around! Amazing food and service always at Kathmandu. I always go for the authentic Nepalese dishes and loved pairing with the recent wine recommendation on the wine list which was a Gewurtztraminer Riesling. Very rich and aromatic which stood up to the rich and spicy flavours of my curry. A perfect meal as always!KenFromKent2023-10-09Nothing short of Excellence We often use the Kathmandu Palace for takeaways which i must say are always consistently good and indeed piping hot when it arrives at our home.. However, as we had guests we decided to dine in house.. The Menu, is incredibly extensive including traditional Indian dishes to Specialist Nepalese dishes. The quality is superlative as are the staff all of whom are attentive but not overbearing.. The Restaurant is licence and includes quite a few affordable wines also Nepalese Beer a great alternative to Cobra .. That is if you enjoy a beer or two.. I would like to add that The décor Is bright and modern.. and spotlessly cleanTrisha K2023-09-09Shiny modern decor, bright white tablecloths. Own parking. Indian and Nepalese, 5-star flavours, service, value. This restaurant is bigger than it looks from outside, shiny modern decor, sparkling clean and blessed with starched white tablecloths and napkins. Service is excellent. We phoned through for a table at very short notice on a Monday evening, reassured when told they have their own parking, and indeed parking was very easy although there were plenty of other diners. Location on Bradbourne Lane is just at the side of the Lidl on the A20 London Road. Food was fabulous. Lots to choose from including all the classic 'Indian restaurant' dishes as well as Nepalese. Husband had chicken momos then timur piro chicken with zimbu dall and plain naan, I had vegetable momos, pahadi chicken, pilau rice and saag paneer plus matka kulfi dessert. All delicious though, as we often find, the dessert menu seems to be all frozen items and probably bought in. Bill for the two of us a very reasonable £70 including a couple of drinks and 10% service charge. Would definitely return if only we lived closer.kim l2023-08-14Amazing food Attended the re-opening party yesterday. Thank you Kathmandu for amazing hospitality and wonderful food. It's our favourite restaurant and never disappoints. Long may you keep going.Maureen H2023-08-13Lovely food. Lovely food, great choice of their buffet especially on their grand opening night. Food was free and only paid for drinks.cathy f2023-08-13Re- opening dining - Nepalese at its best Attended the re- opening after many changes, post covid. The food was absolutely delicious. Staff were very welcoming and I cannot fault the ambience. A packed restaurant says it all. Catering for meat and vegans is not a challenge, as there are many vegetarian dishes in the menu, all of which are delicious. Comfy seating with an outdoor seating and dining area too. A must for any curry lovers, looking for an alternative to an Indian. Nepalese curries are definitely worth trying. Local to me, and I would be coming back for sure.
